Thank You - $1,570 Raised from Soccer Clinic for Alzheimer's
A huge thank you to the parents and all our participants, sponsors and donors, for making the 1st Annual Soccer Clinic for Alzheimer's such a huge success. We're still receiving donations, but so far have raised $1,570. This money will go directly to the Alzheimer Society of Montreal so they can continue making a difference in the lives of all those affected by the disease.
When we first decided to organize this clinic we weren't sure how popular it was going to be. We had originally hoped to get 18 players to sign up but soon had to expand it to 26 players to accommodate the demand. Our friend Julia then volunteered to help coach.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible, including:
Lynn Eyton-Jones who generously donated the liability insurance policy for the event and Annie Bouthillier at the City of Beaconsfield for getting us the field.
Grant Needham for lending us his nets and donating new soccer balls for all the participants.
Keira Gagliardi, our official photographer, for taking some sweet photos that you can view here...
Kelly-Anne Soutter for helping us get the word out through the ranks of the Lakeshore Soccer Club.
Sean Broady, Kimberly Windsor, and Mark Broady for serving up watermelon and oranges and making sure the kids stayed hydrated and cool.
David & Sebastien Arsenault for running the kids through a fun obstacle course warm-up to kick off the clinic.
Our parents for helping us with registrations and collecting donations. And our local fire department for showing up with the big red truck to hose everyone down and cool us all off in the 30-degree heat!
We hope you'll all be back next year and that you'll tell your friends what a great time you had :)
Enjoy the rest of your summer!
